About

Patrick

A personal technical workbench for things that grow out of curiosity, learning and the wish to understand technology more clearly.

Short profile

Programming has been with me since I was 10 years old. My first experiments were in QBasic; since then, the fascination with computers, programming and technology never really disappeared.

Professionally, my path did not originally lead into computer science. Still, the urge to try things out, understand processes and build small tools of my own stayed with me. This site is a quiet place for that.

What I build

Projects because questions are open

Experimenting

Many ideas start small: a question, a tool, a technical process or a game thought that should be tested in practice.

Understanding

Learning new things is the most enjoyable part. That is why this site is not only about results, but also about the paths toward them.

Recording

The site helps document projects, decisions and open work in a way that can still be understood later.

How I work

Most things begin with a simple impulse: I want to know whether something works. After that come small, verifiable steps until an idea becomes a tool, a prototype or at least a useful note.

Linux, Docker, self-hosting and automation interest me because they make technology tangible. I use AI-assisted workflows as another tool for ideas, assets and development, not as a shortcut around understanding.

Current focus

A site that grew out of my own services.

The domain came first. The homepage followed later because my own services and tools needed to be reachable while away from home. Step by step, that became more than just a technical setup.

Today the site is a personal workbench: for software development, self-hosting, automation, AI workflows, game prototypes and everything that leaves traces while learning.
